If you cannot gain entry to a gift mart or showroom, try to get a catalog instead. Sometimes they offer this.
Put an Ad in Industry Media Outlets
The greeting card and gift industry has many trade magazines and websites. They are directed at retail stores and often offer information, retail news, and feature new products. These publications often have a want ad section, where you can place an ad, and let people in the industry know you are seeking a rep. Even if you donât want to buy an ad, these publications are valuable reading material if you want to learn more about the industry.
Here are several publications dedicated to the greeting card and gift industry. Since publications can sometimes change, you can always check my blog for updates or new listings. http://www.kateharperblog.blogspot.com
